LOST//ALIVE
JUST STARTED A NEW SIDE PROJECT WITH MY BEST FRIEND AND EXTREMELY TALENTED ARTIST BRETT CAMERON.

We started a band together when I was 19, and I can't put into words how cool it is being able to collaborate with Brett again. People always ask for the history behind us as artists so here is a bit of our origin story. We first met during our Freshman year of college, and initially he was more of a mentor than a friend. I looked up to him. At 18 I was extremely lost - unsure of my religion, what I wanted to do or even who I was. Moving around a lot throughout high school and dealing with some harsh bullying left me a chameleon. I became an expert at blending in and being whatever and whoever the situation called for to keep me from being an outcast. Liked by everyone but without an identity. Brett was unapologetically himself, and I loved that about him.
“...the harmonies are so good your voices work so well together. Please never stop making music."
I had been pursuing music in a solo project for a few years on YouTube and eventually quit after negative comments got to me. His confidence and drive reminded me what I loved about music in the first place, and gave me the strength to try again. Our time in a band was some of the best times of my life (although admittedly exhausting) and pushed me to be the artist I am today. I owe all my current and future success to him. Fast forward through nearly six years of brotherhood. Outside of our artistic pursuits, we are best friends first. We've traveled Europe on our own dime, talked through some fucking rough nights and celebrated even better days. And now even though we're both chasing our dreams in separate projects, we are still making time to create together. There is something special about creating with someone you care about. The art we make is genuine and I am so proud of it. But most importantly, it's fucking FUN.
